(Dec. 14, 2014, 10:20 a.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has learned (caveat: LBPD PIO Nancy Pratt notes this is very preliminary information) that a man reports he was assaulted by suspects who attempted to rob him...and during the incident was stabbed with an unknown object, at about 2 a.m. in the area of Cherry Ave./Del Amo Blvd.

The victim sustained what's described as a non-life-threatening injury and was treated at a local hospital. There's no suspect information immediately available.
