On Dec. 3, LBPD issued a release listing Mr. Almodovar as missing and stated in its Dec. 3 release that he "is suffering from depression but hadn’t made any statements to lead detectives to believe he would harm himself. His vehicle was located in the area of Willow Avenue and the 710 Freeway on 12/4/14. The circumstances of his disappearance are unknown but suspicious." In a release today (Dec. 8), LBPD says that the cause of his death is undetermined and asks anyone with information regarding what took place to contact LBPD Homicide Detectives Peter Lackovic and Sean Irving at (562) 570-7244. Greg. Almodovar and his brother Jimmy are known to many in the tightly-knit Wrigley neighborhood. Neighbors joined in searches with fliers and held candlelight vigils over the past few days. LBREPORT.com sends our condolences to Greg Almodovar's family and many friends.
