(December 1, 2015) -- LBREPORT.com confirmed and flashed word of this story at midafternoon today (Dec. 1), and at the end of the day we have an LBPD release with very little additional information.
As reported by LBREPORT.com earlier today, LBPD Detectives conducted a murder investigation after officers were dispatched at about 10:17 a.m. today (Tues. Dec. 1) to W. Shoreline Dr. [south of Shoreline Dr., vicinity of Outback Steakhouse, not far from Aquarium] to assist LBFD who determined that a man (adult) was deceased at the scene.
LBPD says in its release that the victim sustained an injury to his torso [Unclear if gunshot, stabbing or something else.] The L.A. County Coroner's office will determine the cause of death. For now, the victim isn't being identified pending notification of next of kin.
"A motive is unknown. The suspect is outstanding and the investigation remains ongoing," LBPD's release says.
