(Dec. 3, 2015) -- Dan Pressburg's annual Community Christmas Party is this Sunday. The traditional "meet, greet and eat" regularly draws area residents, community advocates and local elected officials. Admission is free; arrivals are asked to bring their favorite dish and a wrapped ornament...and donations are accepted (to offset Mr. Pressburg's costs; he regularly prepares quiche and other tasty treats.) The event is scheduled for 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the Historic Long Beach Creamery, 167 E. South St.; cross strets are Dairy Ave. and South St. adjacent to the South St. Parkway. Mr. Pressburg says this year's attendees are expected to include Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D., Lakewood/part of NLB), Assemblyman Mike Gipson (D, Carson), Assemblyman David Hadley (R, Torrance/southbay) as well as three candidates seeking to succeed exiting L.A. County Supervisor Don Knabe: Congresswoman Janice Hahn (D, San Pedro/Compton/South Gate); Mike Gin (R, former Redondo Beach Mayor) and Steve Napolitano (current senior deputy to exiting Supervisor Knabe, former Manhattan Beach Mayor.)
