(Dec. 1, 2016) -- As flashed and followed on our front page, LBPD arrested three suspected Wrigley business burglars, and conducted an intense search for a fourth suspect, on Thursday Dec. 1.
LBPD PIO Marlene Arrona told LBREPORT.com that at about 4:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Pacific Ave. regarding a possible burglary to a business; officers spotted three subjects running from the rear of the business; one entered a vehicle and fled, with a short pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle collided with a signal light pole at Willow St./Magnolia Ave. [Scroll down for further.] |
LBPD took one male suspect (adult) into custody (suspect had minor injuries from collision), set up a containment perimeter to search for remaining suspects, found a second male (adult) suspect hiding on a roof (taken into custody with minor injuries from scaling fences, treated at the scene) and subsequently took a third suspect into custody. At about 7:30 a.m., officers began to clear the scene when a resident in the 2500 block of Cedar indicated a suspicious person in a neighbor's yard. LBPD re-established a containment perimeter with Air Support and a K9 unit and conducted intensive search for a fourth suspect over two hours in the 2500 blocks of Cedar and Chestnut Aves...although that suspect remains outstanding...for now.
