(Dec. 26, 2017) -- A man was shot/wounded in the 2 a.m. hour on the day after Christmas on PCH near Cedar Ave., basically a mile and a half north of the LB Civic Center on the border between South Wrigley and the Washington Middle School neighborhoods (border of Council districts 1 and 6.)
LBPD Public Information Officer Arantxa Chavarria tells LBREPORT.com that on Dec. 267 at about 2:30 a.m., offices were dispatched to the 300 block of W. PCH regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call, Officers found a man (adult) with a gunshot wound (described as non-life-threatening and LBFD transported the victim to a hospital.
LBPD says the incident "is possibly gang related"...and its investigation is ongoing.
