(Dec. 1, 2017, 8:37 a.m.) -- The L.A. County Board of Supervisors' agenda item to approve hiring Amy Bodek (City of LB's current Director of Development Services) as Director of Regional Planning for Los Angeles County indicates she will receive an annual salary of $250,000 effective Feb. 1 with an at-will employment contract.
An accompanying agendized memorandum from the County's Chief Executive states: "As Director of Planning, Ms. Bodek will be the chief executive of the Department of Regional Planning. Her responsibilities include the development and maintenance of the General Plan, area and community plans; administration of County subdivisions and zoning ordinances; continued development and maintenance of geographic information systems; and provision of support to the Regional Planning Commission." As previously reported by LBREPORT.com, Ms. Bodek's City of Long Beach FY17 budgeted salary was $218,474 with a FY18 proposed budgeted salary listed as $227,300. (The Council voted in Sept. 2017 to approve the FY18 budget, and $227,300 became Ms. Bodek's base salary (not including taxpayer-paid benefits.)
