(Feb. 19, 2003) -- City Attorney Robert Shannon, Deputy City Attorney Mike Mais and Special Aviation Counsel Michael Gatzke are traveling to Washington, D.C. for a scheduled Feb. 20 meeting with the Federal Aviation Administration to discuss the agreement accepted by Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, JetBlue Airways & City Hall resolving a dispute over allocation of air carrier flight slots at LB Airport.
The agreement, approved by the City Council on February 11, is conditioned on receiving FAA concurrence by February 28 (unless extended by the parties).
