(February 10, 2005) -- LBPD responded to two shootings early this morning (Feb. 10) that it says may be gang-related.
The first shooting was in WLB at about midnight in the 1400 block of west 19th St. LBPD Public Information Officer Greg Schirmer says two men were involved in verbal altercation; one man shot the other; the victim was transported to a hospital with wounds not considered life threatening; the shooter is at large.
The second shooting took place at about 2 a.m. in a mid-city neighborhood about a mile north of downtown LB. Officer Schirmer said a man and a woman were involved in some kind of altercation with a group of males; someone in the group of males fired at the man and woman; they suffered wounds not considered life threatening; the shooter is likewise "in the wind."
