(February 15, 2005) -- Another terrible traffic accident has taken place at the ELB intersection of Wardlow Rd. and Studebaker Rd.
LBPD Public Information Officer Greg Schirmer says that shortly before 9:30 a.m. today, a 94 yr-old man riding on a motorized electrified cart, crossing Studebaker Rd. eastbound in the crosswalk, was struck by a vehicle turning left from westbound Wardlow onto southbound Studebaker.
The elderly man was seriously injured. He was transported to a local hospital. The woman driving the vehicle was not cited.
The same intersection was the site of a fatality accident involving two vehicles on January 2, 2005.
Today's accident is under investigation.
