(February 8, 2006) -- Art Levine, executive producer/host of Straight Talk -- cablecast in LB, webcast worldwide and podcast on demand -- tells us his televised encounter (premiering tonight) involving Mayoral candidates Frank Colonna, Doug Drummond and Bob Foster is definitely worth watching.
The recently pretaped show debuts on Charter Cable Channel 3 Wednesday Feb. 8 at its new time, 7:00 p.m...with encore performances Thursday Feb. 9 and Sunday Feb. 12, likewise at 7:00 p.m.
In addition, the show can be seen/heard anytime and virtually anywhere at www.straighttalktv.com via webcast and podcast.
We're plugging the show because (1) we think what Mr. Levine is doing with webcasts and podcasts is important; and (2) it's been almost exactly 12 years since Mr. Levine asked then-Mayoral candidate Beverly O'Neill a question on Straight Talk and got a response we consider inseparable from the current Mayor's race.
We recently reminded Mr. Levine of it...and he'd forgotten it (a momentary senior moment). This required LBReport.com's publisher to spend several hours lifting old storage boxes (likely getting a double-hernia in the process) to dig up the archival tape documenting it.
Mr. Levine has granted us permission to cite the pertinent portion. We'll have it, and more, in the coming days...after we watch LB's three major Mayoral candidates deal with the issue tonight...nearly twelve years after candidate O'Neill called it the biggest issue then facing LB.
Stay tuned.
