News WLB Neighborhood Drying Out After Sat a.m. Downpour & Street Flooding
(Feb. 7, 2009, additional photos added) -- As first reported this morning (Feb. 7) by LBReport.com, parts of WLB were affected by heavy rain/thunderstorm activity shortly before 8:00 a.m. (details below).
The 2300 block of West Arlington St. (south of Wardlow Rd., west of Santa Fe Ave.) saw street flooding with water coming up to -- and in some cases into -- some residences. The 1900 block of West Lincoln St. (one block north of Arlington St.) was also affected.

In photographs also obtained by LBReport.com, some residences on Arlington St. showed storm-dirt lines (after the water receded) that appeared to be at least a foot high (in some areas higher) on some of the homes' outside walls and garages, visible in photos below, taken in 2300 block of Arlington St. at about 11 a.m. Feb. 7.
