(Feb. 1, 2010, initial report) -- In a filing with the City Clerk's office made earlier today (Feb. 1), 3rd dist. Councilman Gary DeLong's reelection campaign indicates that it collected $72,531 in monetary contributions between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2009, with expenses of $4,457, leaving it with $68,074 in the bank at year's end.
The data is consistent with a release issued by Councilman DeLong in December in which he indicated his campaign had received over $70,000 in contributions without holding a fundraising event.
