(Feb. 6, 2010) -- The Nat'l Weather Service recorded 2.75" of rain @ LGB from 7:53 a.m. Friday (Feb. 5) and 6:53 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 6).
LB got a good soaking this morning (Sat. Feb. 6) when nearly an inch (0.98") fell between 3:53 a.m. and 6:53 a.m.
During the period from 4:53 a.m. to 5:53 a.m., 0.61" fell, followed by another .26" between 5:53 a.m and 6:53 a.m. .98"
In Downey, Larry Osterhoudt recorded 2.87" from 7:30 a.m. Friday to 7:30 a.m. Sat. "For that period, it outdid the January storms, but this time didn't come down in a intense downpour like January’s peak 6.06" per hour rate," Mr. Osterhoudt says.
As of midmorning, the NWS says there's a 90% of more rain on Saturday afternoon with the chance of a thundershower.
