(Feb. 14, 2010) -- LBReport.com provides video below of Harley, the very special paraplegic dachshund abandoned in LB and taken to LB Animal Care Services.
LB animal advocate Deborah Turner arranged for Harley to receive the same kind of K-9 Cart as her beloved (now deceased) constant companion Wheely Willy. The cart, made by Pet Mobility and Rehabilitation Center, was donated by Med ID Services. The video shows Harley scrambling around a room at Animal Care Services the day after he was fitted with his wheel chair, and displaying his affection for all of the adults and children he meets.
Notes Turner, "Now this sweet and cheerful dog simply needs to find a home that will cherish him and appreciate his special abilities."
This dog is a special needs dog and requires a person with means (i.e. financial resources) to take care of him for the rest of his life. He will need a constant companion (as Deborah was to Willy).
