Vehicle/Pedestrian Accident (Feb. 17, approx 6 p.m.), Bellflower Blvd. South of Atherton/North of CSULB Entrance Leaves Pedestrian In Grave Condition

(Feb. 17, 2015, 9:02 p.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that police activity, visible tonight on Bellflower Blvd. south of Atherton St. and north of the CSULB entrance, was the aftermath of an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Initial information is sketchy. LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Brad Johnson says officers were dispatched at roughly 6:05 p.m.; LBFD transported the pedestrian to a hospital; the pedestrian underwent surgery...and was last reported in grave condition.

LBPD accident investigators are conducting the investigation, which is ongoing.
