Landing Gear Failure On Single Engine Plane, Runway 25L; No Injuries, Minor Fuel Spill, No Major Impact to Airport Operations

(Feb. 20, 2015) -- A single engine aircraft had a landing gear failure while landing on runway 25L at about 4:25 p.m. today (Feb. 20).

There were no injuries, just a minor fuel spill. LBFD cleared the area and there was no major impact to Airport operations, says LGB spokesperson Stephanie Montuya-Morisky.


An initial version of the story indicated per LGB initial info that the incident was on 25R, corrected above.
