(Feb. 19, 2015) -- Tired of candidates dispensing cliches and It's a "meet-greet-and-eat" Special Election Candidates Brunch on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at LB's Historic Dairy and Creamery, 167 E. South St. [Scroll down for further.] |
Mr. Pressburg says it's a free-circulating event without any podium or rigid schedule or time limits, no "moderator" or "3x5 card" restrictions on what's asked. Residents and candidates meet, mingle and talk one on one...with the opportunity for direct interaction. What a concept. Yes, it's in North Long Beach but residents citywide are welcome...since Councilmembers have co-equal votes on everything citywide and what happens in the April 14 election could be pivotal.
Saturday's event is officially hosted by the North Long Beach Community Action Group, but it'll be in Mr. Pressburg's home (and he does the the cooking (quiche is his specialty,) [LBREPORT.com comment: Donations to help defray Mr. Pressburg's costs are welcome although not required.] The meet-greet-and-eat with those seeking to become LB's next Councilmember on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., 167 E. South St. [tip: most of the action and the food is early to middle in the time frame.]
