On Thursday, February 19, 2015, at approximately 3:57 p.m., Long Beach Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Cowles Street regarding a possible armed robbery to a person that just occurred, where the calling party provided a location and description of the three possible suspects.

Officers arrived on scene and saw three possible suspects matching the description given by the calling party. Upon officers making contact with the suspects, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and an officer involved shooting occurred. The suspects ran from officers and two of them were taken into custody a short distance away.
