Ankling-LB Airport Director Will Receive Nearly $60k Higher Salary In Oakland; He Spoke With Them In Late October 2015

(Feb. 25, 2016, 6:25 p.m., updated 10:55 p.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that LB Airport Director Bryant Francis will receive an annual salary of $255,840 when he begins his new position (March 31) as Director of Aviation for Oakland International Airport.

Long Beach's FY16 adopted budget indicates the FY16 salary for the position of Director of LB Airport was $198,082. In FY15 (Mr. Francis was hired in November 2014, began work in January 2015) was $196,329.

Oakland Airport spokesperson Keonnis Taylor tells LBREPORT.com that the Port of Oakland (which operates Oakland Int'l Airport) spoke with Mr. Francis in late October 2015. [update] General recruitment (process of recruiting multiple potential candidates) for the position began in July 2015.
