(Feb. 8, 2016, 8:10 p.m., updated 8:25 p.m.) -- LBPD North Division officers spotted a man wanted for attempt murder at early evening Monday (Feb. 8), leading to a pursuit on NLB streets that lasted for roughly 35 minutes before the suspect yielded and was safely taken into custody in nearby Bellflower.
In initial information, LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Brad Johnson tells LBREPORT.com that officers observed an attempt murder subject in the area of Artesia Blvd./Paramount Blvd. Sgt. Johnson says the subject drove off, failed to stop and officers engaged in a pursuit [on NLB streets] that began at about 6:50 p.m. and continued until the suspect yielded to officers in the area of Downey Ave. and Ramona Ave. in Bellflower at about 7:25 p.m.. LBPD took the suspect into custody without incident. Sgt Johnson says he's a 30 year old LB resident allegedly on active parole for robbery.
