(Feb. 13, 2017) -- LB's Alamitos Beach/Broadway Corridor and adjacent streets saw police activity from late afternoon into early evening on Monday (Feb. 13) after an individual said two males had robbed him at knife point.

LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. James Richardson tells LBREPORT.com that officers responded at roughly 4:28 p.m. and swiftly detained one suspect (a man/adult) but a second suspect fled on foot. LBPD set a containment perimeter and over the next few hours conducted a painstaking search (that included a K9 officer.)

During the investigation, LBPD apprehended the second suspect (a man/adult.)

Sgt. Richardson indicates that the officers wrapped up their work on-scene in the 8 p.m. hour...and the investigaton is ongoing.
