(Feb. 4, 2017) -- LBREPORT.com is pleased to report the uplifting actions of four individuals among us.
At some point a few days ago, a compassionate person (we don't know his/her name) became a crime victim after spending $600 for tickets to Disneyland for a family experiencing financial challenges. The tickets turned out to be counterfeit. In other words, the crime victim lost $600 and the family -- a single mother with four kids who'd never been to Disneyland -- and the family lost a memorable experience. LBPD West Division Officers Mills and Silva were dispatched to take a report. On learning what had happened, they did more than fill out paperwork. These two officers took it upon themselves to secure genuine Disneyland tickets. According to LBPD's Facebook page, an "anonymous donor" stepped forward and provided real Disneyland tickets. Yesterday (Feb. 3), officers Mills and Silva presented the genuine tickets to the mom and her kids. Yes, they'll be enjoying a day together that they'll long remember. Thank you, anonymous person who purchased the tickets originally. (We hope LBPD tracks down whoever defrauded you.) Thank you, anonymous donor who stepped forward and purchased genuine Disneyland tickets for the family. And thank you, LBPD officers Mills and Silva for treating this as more than just a paperwork assignment. Kudos. [Scroll down for further.] |
