(January 5, 2003) -- Police believe a road rage argument between two men escalated to murder in the 1300 block of Termino Ave. in the 4th Council district.
LBPD says that at roughly 5:00 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 4 officers were dispatched to a traffic collision that had occurred...and arrived to find a man lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
Officers learned there'd been an altercation between two men. The victim tried to run over the suspect with his car...and the suspect then allegedly produced a small caliber handgun and shot the victim.
The victim was transported to St. Mary's Hospital where he died from his injuries. Police arrested Ryan Porter, 21, of LB in connection with the crime.
At about the same time this was taking place, officers were handling a robbery in the 1000 block of LB Blvd. that turned into an exchange of gunfire, a perimeter and lengthy search.
