(Jan 1. 2004) -- LBPD says a bullet fired into the air at roughly 12:15 a.m. on New Year's day hit a man in the head in the 1300 block of Lewis Ave. (one block east of MLK, just north of Anaheim St.)

Apparently it struck a glancing blow, didn't penetrate his skull...and he's going to be OK.
