(January 30, 2005) -- A driver heading northbound in the soutbound lanes of PCH at the Anaheim Bay Bridge in Seal Beach was killed in a predawn crash on Saturday.

Seal Beach PD says in a written release that at roughly 3:32 a.m., it received reports of a four door compact northbound on southbound PCH at a high rate of speed...and before SBPD could intercept, the wrong-way vehicle crashed into a full size southbound pickup truck.

The wrong way driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he died. The driver of the pickup truck was treated on scene and released.

Soutbound PCH was closed for about six hours for investigation of the crash.
