Two Men Shot-At, Bullets Miss, 3100 block E. 11th St. (1 block south of Anaheim, 3 blocks west of Redondo)

(Jan. 19, 2012) -- Two men (adults) walking on 11th St. near Freeman Ave. (one block south of Anaheim St., three blocks west of Redondo) were shot-at by an unknown suspect(s) on Tuesday night, Jan. 17. The bullets missed.

LBPD Public Information Officer Nancy Pratt says officers responded at about 8:50 p.m. and learned that two men were walking eastbound on 11th St. when they found themselves fired-on. Neither victim was struck; LBPD's investigation remains ongoing and what occurred is being investigated as possibly gang-related.

Less than a month ago on Dec. 27, 2011 a man was shot and wounded in the area of 10th St./Ohio Ave. (area near Molina Ave.)

On September 9, 2011 a man was shot in the 1300 block of Rose Ave. (just north of Anaheim Street).

And on April 12, 2011, a 19 year old LB man was fatally shot in the 2600 block of E. Anaheim Street last night (Monday April 11).
