Occupy Long Beach Exits Lincoln Park, Moves Its Daily "General Assembly" Meetings To Bixby Park

(Jan. 3, 2012) -- OccupyLongBeach has exited Lincoln Park (Broadway/Pacific, next to LB City Hall) and moved its daily "General Assembly" meetings (7:30 p.m.) to Bixby Park (Ocean Blvd/Junipero).

At midmorning Tuesday (Jan. 3), the group's Facebook page indicated that at tonight's session, supporters would discuss several possible locations (Bixby, Marina Green, Veterans, Cesar Chavez, Martin Luther King, Recreation Parks) but apparently settled on Bixby Park.

The group's wesbite says it will "take up the question of overnight occupation" at Thursday's "General Assembly" session.

And on its website, OccupyLongBeach says it is a "registered participant" in the Jan. 14 Martin Luther King, Jr. parade.
