UPDATE: Laundry Room Coin Theft Suspect Turns Himself In

(Jan. 20, 2015) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that earlier today (Jan. 20), after seeing himself in the news, the suspect (below) wanted in connection with several laundry room burglaries in Long Beach turned himself in.

LBPD says in a dispatch that the suspect, identified by LBPD as Felipe Felix, 35, of Long Beach, walked into the lobby of LBPD HQ and surrendered. He was booked for burglary, is being held at the LB City Jail on $50,000 bail...and the case will be presented to the L.A> County District Attorney's Office later this week.

[Previous coverage] (Jan. 17, 2015) -- LBPD is seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect in the VIDEO and screen-save still photos below, wanted in connection with laundry room burglaries that allegedly involved removing coins from laundry machine coin boxes. LBPD says its Detectives also believe, based on similar circumstances, that the suspect was allegedly involved in multiple burglaries from November 2013 to January 2015.

In the most recent incident (Jan. 3, 2015, approx. 9:00 a.m.) in the 300 block of Gladys Avenue, LBPD says a male suspect entered a multi-family residential laundry room, allegedly forced entry into a coin box and attempted to remove cash...but the box was empty so the suspect left empty-handed.
