Callers Reported Gunfire, Fireworks & Loud Parties On New Year's Eve...But No Reports Of Any Person(s), Vehicles Or Homes Hit, LBPD Says

(Jan. 1, 2015) -- LBPD says it received several calls of shots fired, reports of fireworks plus party calls on New Year's Eve-New Year's early morning, but has no reports of any person(s), vehicles or houses struck by gunfire.

LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Megan Zabel says that between 11:30 p.m. (Dec. 31) and 1 a.m. (Jan. 1), in the entire City of LB, LBPD received/handled 9 shots calls and 11 fireworks calls.

A New Year's Pine Ave.event was a sell-out prompting an LBPD advisory for heavy traffic in the area. At the event, there were only a few incidents of minor disputes and intoxicated persons needing medical attention, says LBPD PIO Zabel, with 3 misdemeanor arrests (alcohol related), 1 misdemeanor citation (alcohol related) and 3 traffic citations.
