(Jan. 27, 2016) -- LBPD has issued a release with a VIDEO clip (below) and a screen grab (right) to alert the community to an incident involving a man who allegedly inappropriately touched a minor at a SE LB restaurant on Sunday (Jan. 24) in the area of PCH/2nd St...and LBPD is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.
[LBPD release text] On Sunday, January 24, 2016, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a restaurant in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Second Street. The preliminary investigation indicated, around 7:45 p.m., an adult male suspect inappropriately touched a child in the men's restroom and fled. The child is under 10 years old. |
Following the incident, patrol officers searched for the suspect in the area. Law enforcement agencies in the region have been alerted and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who recognizes the suspect is urged to contact Long Beach Police Sex Crimes Detective P. Jennings at (562) 570-7354 or email LBPDSexCrimes@longbeach.gov.
