(Jan. 9, 2016) -- As flashed with an advisory on our front page, WLB saw SWAT activity on Jan. 7 in the area of Caspian/PCH (perhaps a bit south.)

LBPD PIO Nancy Pratt told LBREPORT.com that officers responded to noon-hour gang disturbance call (1800 block Caspian); there were officers observed four male occupants in the vehicle; two of the subjects fled on foot into the neighborhood; a foot pursuit was initiated; the other two subjects remained at the scene; one was arrested for a court order violation and the other was detained, questioned, and released (both male adults).

Officers set up perimeter to contain two suspects that fled; one is known to be on parole and wanted for court order violation (male adult); police helicopter and K9 requested; SWAT activated; some residents evacuated; announcements made for suspects to surrender; search conducted of a residence and several yards; neither suspect located (approx. 2:15 p.m.)

Further as newsworthy.
