(Jan. 1, 2016, 3:20 a.m.) -- At about 10:55 p.m. on Dec. 31, someone used some type of ignition device(s) (being investigated) to set four cars on fire along the 2000 block of Cedar Ave. in LB's Wrigley district.

Yes, it's bizarre and for now it's unexplained but LBPD overnight Watch Commander Lt. Jeff Berkenkamp confirms to LBREPORT.com that the arson did take place.

We have few details as of 3:00 a.m. Jan. 1, but we're told that arson investigators are actively working on this.

We'll report further as we learn it.
