(Jan. 3, 2016, 12:20 p.m.) -- In a Sunday morning (Jan. 3) release, LAPD says a suspect who allegedly crashed a carjacked vehicle, invaded a North Wrigley home on New Year's morning and shot two familymembers, stabbed another, then shot himself was allegedly involved in a number of violent crimes over the past 26 days in other cities with a second suspect. In its release, LAPD identifies the Long Beach/North Wrigley home-invasion/shootings/stabbing suspect as Daniel Ramirez (no middle initial or photo released.) LAPD says a second suspect -- Artyom Gasparyan -- is wanted in connection with his alleged involvement in a series of violent crimes -- including robbery, carjacking, attempt murder, and murder -- a number of which it he allegedly committed with Ramirez over the past 26 days. Gasparyan's crimes allegedly include a Jan. 1 Carson carjacking that ended with Ramirez allegedly driving into Long Beach, crashing the vehicle on Wardlow Rd. near Maine Ave. and what followed in the 3300 block of Daisy Ave. in North Wrigley. LAPD Media Relations section Officer Mike Lopez told LBREPORT.com that it has no immediate details on Ramirez, who hadn't been officially booked (in custody as hospitalized.)
LAPD's release says Gasparyan is wanted in connection with a series of crimes, allegedly committed starting on Dec. 6 in Los Angeles, Burbank, West Hollywood and Carson, with the most recent incident the Jan. 1 carjacking in Carson. "Gasparyan has been identified as committing a number of these crimes with Daniel Ramirez who was taken into custody in Long Beach, after a standoff with police in which he shot two individuals, stabbed another, and then shot himself," LAPD's release says. LAPD describes Gasparyan as a 32 year old, male, Armenian, black hair, brown eyes, standing at 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing approximately 170 pounds...and says "Gasparyan should be considered armed and dangerous."
