(July 7, 2002) -- A drive by shooting from a bicycle has left a 17 year old LB resident dead and a second victim wounded in the area of 60th St. and Cherry Ave. in the 9th Council district.

LBPD says the victims were standing outside at about 11:30 p.m. on July 6 when two suspects rode by on a bicycle and fired numerous gunshots at them. The suspects, described as two male Blacks, fled in an unknown direction.

Police say shooting victim died at the scene. The second shooting victim was taken to a hospital and was listed in critical but stable condition.
