    July 21: Shooting, 1400 Block Lewis Ave.; LB Resident in Critical Condition; Suspect in Custody And Police Seek Add'l Info

    (July 21, 2002, posted at 9 a.m.) -- Shots rang out in the 1400 block of Lewis Ave. (one block east of MLK) in the 6th Council district shortly after 2:00 a.m. today, leaving a 40 year old LB resident in critical condition as we post.

    LBPD made entry to a residence in the area and arrested a 37 year old LB resident they believe is the suspect. No firearms were found.

    LBPD is seeking additional information about this crime and asks those having information to phone LBPD's violent crime detail or call 911.
