(July 23, 2002) -- LB, which sent Alan Lowenthal to the CA Assembly, Bonnie Lowenthal to the City Council and daughter in law Suja Lowenthal (left) to the LB School Board now has another Lowenthal (in her arms).

On July 20, Suja and Dan Lowenthal welcomed the birth of their first child and LB's latest Lowenthal: Avinash Dhillon Lowenthal. Husband Dan told LBReport.com the name means indestructible (physically, spiritually and morally) in Hindi.

"Avi" (as he will likely be called) was born via c-section after 26 hours of unsuccesful induced labor, arriving 5 weeks early and weighing 5.06 pounds.

Daddy Dan, a lawyer, offered the following dispassionate assessment:

"He is by far the most beautiful and wonderful baby in the world."
