(July 1, 2003) -- LBPD says it has busted an alleged methamphetamine lab in the 1700 block of Termino Ave.
A written release indicates East Division officers were dispatched on June 30 at about 10:50 p.m. in response to a disturbance call involving a man and a woman fighting...and on arrival allegedly found numerous bottles and containers containing unknown chemicals.
LBPD says its officers recognized that the chemicals were possibly being used to prepare a lab for production of methamphetamine...and the apartment building where the chemicals were found was immediately evacuated, along with the surrounding neighborhood for the safety of residents in the area.
The arguing man and woman were arrested for possession of chemicals with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
LBPD asks anyone with information about this incident to call Detective Chris Bolt at (562) 570-7221.
