(July 14, 2004) -- LBReport.com has learned via a tip from a reader that a violent armed robbery took place in the 6000 block of Myrtle Ave. in NLB on July 13 at roughly 1 a.m.

Details are sketchy as we post. LBPD Public Information Officer David Cannan confirms to LBReport.com that two male suspects allegedly armed with handguns approached a victim exiting a vehicle, shot him multiple times, then fled with the victim's money and property.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to live.
