(July 29, 2005) -- In a brazen midday crime, a Wrigley-area business owner has been pistol whipped and robbed of merchandise and money at gunpoint in his store in the 2000 block of Pacific Ave.
LBPD Public Information Officer Jackie Bezart tells LBReport.com that at approximately 11:38 a.m. on July 28, two males entered the business, produced guns, took merchandise and money...and one of the suspects pistol whipped the victim. The thieves then fled on foot.
The victim was treated on scene for what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
LBReport.com has learned that this crime -- and others in the south Wrigley area -- were discussed that night at a meeting of Residents in Action, a grassroots group active in the area.
