LB Airport Ass'n Bd of Directors Wants New Airport Terminal Named "Beverly O'Neill Terminal"

The board of directors of the Long Beach Airport Association voted unanimously at the July board meeting to recommend that the newly approved, expanded terminal facilities at the Long Beach airport be named the "Beverly O'Neill Terminal."

The naming of our new terminal facilities in honor of our popular and respected three-term mayor is a fitting tribute to her leadership over the last twelve years.

This leadership was exemplified in her last days in office, when she shepherded the terminal area improvement project through an often-contentious council to their ultimate approval.

She was, and continues to be, an ever-enthusiastic cheerleader for Long Beach, including promoting her "three Ts", trade, technology, and tourism. A modern airport terminal facility will certainly represent all of those three Ts...
