(July 17, 2008) -- For one day only -- July 20, 2008, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- you can avoid paying a late fee ($25) for dog licensing (i.e. letting you get your dog properly licensed by paying the regular licensing fee while avoiding the $25 late gouge) only on-site at the P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village, 7700 E. Spring St. (joint Animal Control/SPCA-LA location).
Caveat: The late-fee grace period for licensing is available only for onsite registrations.
LB Public Health Associate Suzanne Delima tells LBReport.com that the annual dog licensing fee is $18 [er year (if your doggie is spayed/neutered) or $85 per year (if not). (Three-year registrations will also be available).
In addition, SPAC/LA will be offering low cost vaccinations (less cost than you'd likely pay elsewhere).
And Friends of LB Animals will be offering vouchers for free spay and neutering for use at participating veterinarians.
LBReport.com Contributing Editor Miriam Yarden says without hesitation: "Take advantage of this!"
