(July 6, 2008) -- LB photographer Bill Geal (for his Flickr website, click here) applied some digital enhancements to produce these images of LB July 4 fireworks.

"I was on top of the Pike parking structure with a 280mm lens shooting at around 5 sec shutter speed. Increased the gamma (makes blacks blacker) and saturated the color a bit," he says.

Beautiful...and yes, photography literally means "writing with light."
