Opaque Agency's Chief Exec Well Paid: LB Transit President Paid More Than CA Governor & LB City Mgr. in 2010; Transit Agency Board's Agenda, Minutes, Budget Not Available On Its Website

| (July 30, 2012) -- The President/CEO of LB's Transit Agency, Larry Jackson, was paid more than CA's Governor and LB's City Manager in 2010.
California Controller John Chiang's most recent listing of salaries for special districts indicates that in 2010, LB Transit's Larry Jackson was paid an annual salary of over a quarter of million dollars a year -- $252,144 -- that with benefits (total wages subject to Medicare) amounted to $278,883. The agency's Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer received an annual salary of $178,704, with benefits (total wages subject to Medicare) amounting to $197,359 in 2010.
