(July 31, 2013) -- Damon Dunn's Mayoral campaign reports receiving contributions totaling $241,432 during the period Jan. 1-June 30, 2013, of which $125,000 came from Mr. Dunn himself.
Of the remainder, 66% of the contributions came from individuals listing addresses outside Long Beach...including former U.S. Secretary of State George Shultz (at Stanford University.) [The actual percentage of Listed among Long Beach contributors were Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Pres/CEO Randy Gordon and the Chamber's immediate past Board chair (and retired LB City Manager) Gerry Miller. The Dunn campaign reports paying former City Hall management staffer Dennis Thuys (retired Dir. of Community Development, exited Mar. 2012) $7,500 during the six month reporting period as a campaign consultant.
