LBPD Public Information Officer Marlene Arrona tells LBRPEORT.com that on Sunday July 13 at about 3:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Santa Fe Ave. and W. 33rd St. (a bit north of Spring St.) regarding a shooting call. Officers found evidence that a shooting took place...but didn't immediately locate a victim.
The victim subsequently turned up at a local hospital with an injury that appeared to be non-life-threatening.
A little over a week ago in the midnight hour July 6, a man was shot in the area of Spring St./Santa Fe.
And on May 1 shortly before 9 p.m., a 19 year old man was shot in the area of Santa Fe. Ave/Arlington Ave. (about three blocks south of Wardlow Rd.)
LBPD asks anyone with information on the most recent (July 13) shooting to call LBPD's Gang Investigations Section at (562) 570-7370.
