(July 22, 2014) -- A central CA packing company (Wawona Packing of Cutler, CA) is voluntarily recalling certain lots of peaches (white and yellow), nectarines (white and yellow), plums and plutots packed between June 1 and July 12 due to what it says "the potential of the products being contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The firm says to its knowledge, "health officials have not linked any illnesses to this recall."

The fruit was sold at Trader Joe's, Costco, Food 4 Less, Foods Co. and Ralphs stores.

At least one chain (Wegmans based on Rochester, NY) is voluntarily recalling baked deserts made with the items.

The FDA is asking anyone who purchased the recalled products to not eat them and to throw them away. Consumers with questions can contact Wawona Packing Co. at (888) 232-9912.
