Garcia said that whether the "Council Leadership Retreat" is held at CSULB or [sounded like] LBCC, it will be done in a way that doesn't bring additional taxpayer burden to the City Council. He added that there'll be more information in the coming couple of weeks.
Under the City Charter, LB's Mayor doesn't have a vote, meaning a Council majority can enable or disapprove actions recommended by the Mayor on items ranging from budgeted spending to policy actions. Six Councilmembers can override a Mayoral veto.
