(July 5, 2015, 11:55 p.m.) -- Two men (adults) people were shot in the 10 p.m. hour on Sunday July 5 in the 1400 block of Chestnut Ave. (near where 14th St. Park and Seaside Park meet in LB's 1st Council district.) The location is basically about 1.3 miles nearly due north of Long Beach City Hall.

LBPD Watch Commander Lt. Mark Coble tells LBREPORT.com that at about 10:10 p.m., two men (adults) were struck by gunfire; they were transported to a hospital in critical condition.

This double-shooting comes less than 24 hours after yesterday's (July 4th) double shooting in which two adults -- a man and a woman -- were wounded in the area of 10th St./Lewis Ave. at about 11:30 p.m.

On July 2 (three days before tonight's shooting), a 14 year old boy was shot and wounded in the 1000 block of Chestnut Ave. (roughly four blocks south of the July 5 crime scene.)
