(July 6, 2015, 11:10 a.m.) -- LBREPORT.com links in full below to advocacy on both sides of an extremely significant item scheduled for the July 7 City Council meeting: whether the Council should approve a city management request to hire an "industry expert" [the term used in management's agendizing memo] to advise on the feasibility of allowing a federal inspection (customs) facility at LB Airport. Such a facility couldn't be limited to one operator and would in effect turn the city's municipal airport into an international airport.
